ThinkFirst Waives $1,500 New Chapter Application and Training Fees April - June 2020

Injury prevention education is key to reducing traumatic injuries. As we navigate this unprecedented global situation, ThinkFirst is waiving the $1,500 new chapter application and training fee and providing virtual training sessions free of charge for the next three months.  All injury prevention professionals interested in starting a ThinkFirst chapter to include ThinkFirst educational programs in upcoming injury prevention programming are eligible for this incentive.

The ThinkFirst National Injury Prevention Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization in its 34th year, with a mission to prevent brain, spinal cord and other traumatic injuries through education, research and advocacy. ThinkFirst provides injury prevention program materials to injury prevention coordinators and educators, preparing them to present to schools and community groups with the goal of helping people learn the importance of making safe choices to prevent injuries.

Chapters have access to a variety of ready-to-use presentations for helping any age group learn to reduce their risk for injury. Topics include:

  • Traffic, bike and pedestrian safety
  • Sports safety and concussion awareness
  • Avoiding violence
  • Prevention falls (for older adults)
  • Infant safety (for new and expectant parents)
  • Child passenger safety

If you are interested in providing ThinkFirst programs, the $1,500 chapter application fee has been waived for the months of April, May and June, so you can get started immediately at no cost. Online training dates for new chapters are scheduled for April 24th, May 27th and June 24th.

We look forward to starting a conversation with you about injury prevention education and establishing a ThinkFirst chapter. Please reach out to us at thinkfirst@thinkfirst.org for more information.
